Oral Rehabilitation and Aesthetics

This dental specialty focuses on restoring the form, function, occlusion (chewing), and aesthetics of teeth in the oral cavity, encompassing everything from a single tooth to a full oral rehabilitation, depending on the case. It utilizes various materials and treatments to achieve the desired outcome, always striving for harmony with the entire masticatory system, including teeth, soft tissues, bones, muscles, ligaments, and the temporomandibular joint.

Several types of treatments exist, such as:

  • Fixed prostheses on teeth: is designed to restore dental function, aesthetics, and structure. It is permanently cemented onto prepared natural teeth and cannot be removed by the patient.
  • Implant-supported prostheses: Is designed to restore a full dental arch by being securely attached to dental implants. It provides stability, chewing function, comfort, and aesthetics, remaining fixed in the mouth and not removable by the patient.
  • Removable partial dentures: Is designed to replace one or more missing teeth, restoring chewing function, aesthetics, and patient comfort. It can be removed for cleaning and maintenance.
  • Removable complete dentures: Is designed to replace all teeth in a dental arch, restoring chewing function, speech, and aesthetics. It can be removed by the patient for daily cleaning and care.
  • Direct restorations, such as light-cured resins: Performed to restore the function and aesthetics of the affected tooth. It uses high-quality composite resin, polymerized with a curing light to ensure strength, proper adaptation and natural appearance.
  • Indirect restorations, such as inlays/onlays: It designed to rebuild teeth with moderate to extensive structural loss. It is fabricated outside the mouth and adhesively cemented, using high-quality composite resin to restore dental function, strength, and aesthetics.
  • Crowns: Designed to cover and protect a weakened or restored natural tooth, restoring its function, strength, and aesthetics. It is permanently cemented onto the prepared tooth structure.
  • Implant-supported crown: Designed to replace a missing tooth, restoring chewing function and aesthetics. The restoration is supported by a dental implant through a custom abutment, specifically fabricated to ensure precise fit and optimal functional and aesthetic integration.
  • Veneers: Designed to improve the shape, color, size, and aesthetics of anterior teeth. They are fabricated from lithium disilicate, a highly aesthetic and durable material that provides a natural-looking and long-lasting result through conservative bonding to the tooth surface. All dental crowns and protheses, whether supporter by natural teeth or dental implants, are fabricated using high-quality Kuraray Noritake zirconia and ceramic, recognized for its excellent mechanical strength, biocompatibility, and natural aesthetics, providing durable and highly functional restorations.

We follow a strict protocol, performing a clinical diagnosis, intraoral and extraoral photographs, X-rays or CT scans, intraoral scanning, and digital design of the smile and dental arch to obtain the necessary information and thus carry out an appropriate and individualized treatment for each patient.

ortodoncia

Orthodontics

Orthodontics is the branch of dentistry that focuses on restoring function and aesthetics to the masticatory system.

Through the use of fixed or removable appliances (Functional Orthopedics), facial growth can be redirected, producing positive changes in both the teeth and jaws.

The different types of appliances depend on individual needs, which can include factors such as age, type of malformation, and specific aesthetic requirements.

Because this treatment stimulates muscles, moves bone structures (bones), and teeth, it does not have a set duration. It may involve several stages when treating habits, speech impediments, or skeletal problems in the primary dentition.

periodoncia

Periodontics

This specialty corrects inflammation and bleeding of the gums that cause bad breath, discomfort when brushing, visible gum line, reddened gums, loose teeth, and possible tooth loss if not treated promptly.

endodoncia

Endodontics

Endodontics is the branch of dentistry, also known as root canal treatment, that deals with the removal of inflamed or infected dental pulp, as well as the cleaning, disinfection, and shaping of the root canals, followed by their filling and sealing with materials that replace the pulp tissue or nerve of the tooth.

It also aims to preserve and maintain the health of the tissues surrounding the tooth (para endodontic tissues).

The main objective of this specialty is to keep teeth in the oral cavity for as long as possible, avoiding extraction.

implantologia

Dental Implants

Implantology is one of the best dental options for replacing missing teeth.

It involves placing one or more implants into the jawbone, onto which we then install a crown, a bridge, or a complete denture (All-In-X).

This way, we preserve the structure of the remaining teeth and restore the harmony and function of the mouth.

maxilofacial

Maxillofacial Surgery

Maxillofacial surgery is the medical-surgical specialty that focuses on the study, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of congenital or acquired diseases of the oral cavity, facial skeleton, and related cervical structures.

Our maxillofacial surgeons have extensive knowledge in oral and maxillofacial surgery, enabling them to perform complex extractions, bone grafts, and dental implants, among many other treatments.

prevencion

Prevention

It’s important to have your dental checkup every six months.

During prophylaxis and radiographic examinations, we perform a thorough diagnosis of each tooth, as well as the soft tissues and mucous membranes, to detect cavities and other problems associated with the masticatory system early on.

geriatrica

Geriatric Dentistry

This branch of dentistry focuses on the care of older adults, specifically those 65 years of age and older, or those affected by degenerative changes or age-related diseases. With medical and technological advancements, people are living longer, making it essential to preserve their teeth and chewing function for longer or to restore them if they have been lost. A proper diagnosis and, in most cases, a multidisciplinary approach are necessary to address any problems that may arise.

It is crucial that the dentist specializing in this field be not only dentally competent but also knowledgeable about the medical and psychological aspects of the patients’ age group to achieve a comprehensive understanding of each case.

sedacion

Sedation

This procedure is performed by an anesthesiologist intravenously to calm the patient’s nervous system, thereby reducing stress and eliminating pain without putting the patient to sleep during the surgical procedure.
